The Effect of Group Activities Program For The Living-Alone Elderly With Poor Interpersonal Relations

Abstract

|
Objectives : The purpose of study is to investigate various group activities programs for living-alone elderly and to suggest Mosey’s approach for improving interpersonal relations.
Methods : We investigated literatures about Group activities programs(ex, Music therapy, Art therapy, Horticultural therapy) and social support or networks for living-alone elderly.
Results : In mostly preceding research, Group activities programs was effective for depression, self- esteem, social integration. But Except Gestalt relations program and social network therapy, liateratures of social support or interpersonal relations was insufficient. In future, Mosey’s approach is need to use for living-alone elderly because Mosey theory can apply in order of interpersonal relations.
Conclusion : Mosey’s approach is useful program of interpersonal relations for social network of living- alone elderly.
